No. This is the 8-hour pre-licensing training course with its own online test. It is separate from any licensing exam or application required by the State of Arkansas.
Every licensed Arkansas bail bondsman must complete at least 6 hours of continuing education each year to renew. Bondsmen who are 65 or older and have been licensed 15 years or more are exempt (Ark. Code § 17-19-107).

Thirteen topic-based modules: how bail works, your agent license, running a company, writing the bond, premiums and fees, collateral and pledged assets, reports, forfeitures (two modules), surrender and apprehension (two modules), staying on the right side of the law, and complaints and discipline. For each module, scroll to the end, spend its required time on the page, and answer the questions at the end.
Each module has a minimum reading time, 180 minutes in all, divided among the 13 modules according to their length, so longer modules require more time and shorter ones less (from 5 minutes up to 22 minutes). Time only counts while a module is open and you are actively using it, and only one module counts at a time. The course page shows each module's required time and your progress.
No. The questions at the end of each module are not a pass or fail test. It is simply a tool to help jog your memory on Arkansas bail bond laws and rules. (Arkansas law says continuing education may not include an examination, Ark. Code § 17-19-401(b).) After you submit, you see your grade, the questions you missed, and the correct answers, and you can answer a new set as often as you like while your access lasts.
Your 6-hour continuing education certificate is issued automatically as soon as every module is complete, and it is emailed to you.
